Smarter Decisions
October 17, 2007
Went to the first Weight Watchers meeting last night only to find out that as a Men’s Online subscriber, I’m not really allowed at the meetings. Ohh-k. I did stay with Sarah for the first one since I was already there. The whole time I couldn’t help feel uncomfortable. I was shifty and looked away when others looked at me. I think part of my feeling came from the WW meeting leader, who was the one who told me I wasn’t welcomed at the meetings.
Well, I still am a member of WW, but I guess my approach is a bit different. I get to track my points and learn better habits, so that’s what matters. Learning these habits really didn’t come to me until this morning when I was reading some posts on the WW message boards. This whole thing is honestly about making smarter decisions. Instead of stuffing myself, or having that extra beer, or eating too many unhealthy snacks, it’s better to think about the decision and make the best choice possible. I guess the best choice isn’t always something we make, but if we fail, all we have to do is try again.

Man, oh man, what’s up with the lines at the post office. I went to pick up a package the other day and just couldn’t figure out why there were so many people in line, yet so few workers behind the counters. Maybe I should become a postal worker.

What day did you go to the post office? Monday’s are always bad because of the weekend and businesses needing to get their mail.
