(Photo: Paste Magazine August 1, 2005: Nickel Creek – A Mandolin with No Country.  Article by Jason Killingsworth)

I happened upon a great article in Paste Magazine about Nickel Creek because I was searching for their November show Sarah and I are going to.  Here’s my favorite exerpt:

“Fast forward to Saturday.  It’s almost midnight and Chris Thile’s sitting in the passenger seat of my rental car, sweating profusely, running one hand through his spiky shock of blond hair, and stringing words together the way he typically plucks notes on his mandolin – absurdly fast, with unrelenting forward motion.”

You really need to read the entire article.  It’s amazing.  I mean, these people are just like me, my wife, and my friends.  Only thing is, as you will see on page two, I think I’m much neater.

I’m so pumped about this upcoming concert at the Dallas House of Blues coming up on November 16th.  It’s going to rock.  (I just realized I said that in the uber-white collar dork of a way, but hey, I currently have a tie on and I’m at work.)

I think I’m having a Nickel Creek day.  For future reference, that means I’m having a great day!
