Good Grief Sally
August 23, 2007
You know, God has that all-knowing thing going for Him. So why not share just a little? I’m not blaming God. No, that’s a cop out. But I’m just saying, “God, you know me, I’m the kind of guy who enjoys a surprise or two, but I’m not big into changes.” Well, being the God that He is (all-knowing) he already knows that! I think God just likes to say, “Now, now, have some patience.” Suppose this is where faith comes in?
One minute, I think things are fine. The next, not. But for the most part, this week has been going very well. I’ve had a few talks, I’ve done a lot of thinking, you know, the prayers have been going upward all over.
Bottom line is that I’d love to work in KC or OKC or SA (again). LOVE IT. But the fact is, I am indeed happy here. I watched Oprah today (don’t laugh, haven’t been watching Oprah at all). But I did today. Check out her happiness survey on Oprah.com. I scored a 31. That means I’m extremely happy. I think that’s true. I just wish this thing would iron out in the area where I spend at least 8 to 10 hours of my day.
Political Humor
I love the news coming out lately about how the presidential political campaigners are taking to The Colbert Report and John Stewart lately. It’s awesome that these interviews mean just as much, if not more, for their future as a serious candidate in 2008. I’m not that much of a Comedy Central fan. But I do tune in from time to time for The Colbert Report especially. Win the hearts of this country’s stuck up stiffs, then tune into the hearts of where the rest of us are: the real world.

I definitely think that is where faith comes in. It’s having faith that God knows what is best for you (because of that all-knowing thing) and that when the time is right he will provide. I’m sure that things will work out for you!
