Male PMS?

Despite cramps and whatever all you women deal with during PMS, I guess I’m just having a bout of my own male PMS.  I just get grumpy for no reason.  Therefore, (I think thanks to Janette) I’m enjoying a hot cup of my Tazo Calm herbal infusion tea… a soothing blend of chamomile blossoms and other relaxing herbs.  It’s probably just the thought of all those spices I’m seeing in the bag blending together that will enter my body and all of a sudden attach themselves to my euphoric brain nerves and give them a zap so that I will pop into a smile all of a sudden.  Who cares.  It’s working.

Boy, I really have become an office boy.  I’m drinking hot tea at 11:33 a.m. in August.  But in my defense, I really did go out this morning to get some stuff on tape (or disc, if you want to get technical).  Actually, I’ve been quite productive at work.  I’m even working ahead to next week, in fact.  The reason being is because I know I won’t be able to really leave the office on Monday to go out and do my normal reports that air later in the week because I’m having to fill in.  And on Tuesday I am scheduled for a really neat story in Ardmore.  So I’ll be busy with that all day.  The only days I’ll have to get next week’s mandatory stuff in are today and tomorrow.  I nearly got everything done.  I actually just need to go out tomorrow morning and finish it up (the tape part).  I could write and get one of the two done today.  But I’m sitting here typing, drinking my hot tea, and contemplating the questions of why I’m grumpy.

My mood is lifting a bit, though.  I keep thinking if I would just go pick that prescription up at the store.  But $40?!!  NO WAY.  And that’s with my insurance.  I need to get the generic stuff.  I keep telling myself that in the afternoons I’m going to walk or read or clean out my car.  But I haven’t done any of that yet.  So today I should get something done. 

Todd and Rachel arrive tomorrow.  Everything is going to be great!  We’ll have a cook-out on Saturday and go out on Friday.  Just a lot of relaxing and enjoying each other.
