Back Jack

The wedding was amazing!  I’ve been on a hiatus because of this and that.  To sum up: we got the den completed, Todd and Rachel got married, we’re dog sitting for a couple of days, and I am hopefully getting back on track with See Jack Shop and maybe adding another internet writing gig.

 The boys and I took Todd to the L’auberge du Lac Hotel and Casino in Lake Charles, LA.  It was awesome.  The hotel… super nice.  It was a great time.  The entire wedding week, as usual, was magic.  Every wedding that each of our friends has had… has been just incredible.  It’s a week of madness, closeness, friendship, and magic all rolled into one.  Day by day, though, the wonderful week unfolds and reveals new levels of romance and chaos.  It just wouldn’t be the same if it wasn’t like that.

Oh, and it’s been raining like cats and dogs.  Actually, not cats and dogs!  Ouch!  But really… and this weekend, it was sunny.  So for the first time in a while, Sarah and I took the chance to just practically do nothing!  We went to the spillway to watch the water go over.  Crazy sight.  And I mowed the lawn since it was semi-dry.  I didn’t weed-eat though.  I want to get this new head for the weedeater.  Maybe I’ll pick one up at Lowe’s next weekend and try it out.  Am I just the nuttiest person ever for being excited about weedeating?!

Welcome home Todd and Rachel.  Can’t wait to hear all about your honeymoon and the undisclosed details of the wedding… you know, all the tidbits of info that are important later but at the time no one cares about.  Ha!
